Faculty
The faculty of the Marketing Department are experts in the field. All of our full time faculty are actively engaged in scholarly productivity, with publications in several leading marketing journals such as The Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, the Journal of Business Research, and the Journal of Retailing, to name a few. Many of our faculty are seasoned executives who bring special talents, experiences and valued business relationships into our classrooms. Our faculty are committed to scholarship and to the task of educating students to be "workplace-ready."
Career Opportunities
Marketing activities span many functions, across nearly all forms of business, governmental agencies and organizations including for-profit and not-for-profit operations. The range of jobs and functions performed by persons involved in marketing is especially diverse, and continues to evolve with the advances of technology and the formalization of the practice of marketing. The high demand for marketing personnel is based on several factors. Increasing numbers of service firms, non-profit institutions, political candidates, and others are applying marketing principles in their daily operations. Deregulation of several major industries (such as banking, telecommunications, and transportation) has also encouraged these industries to increase their marketing efforts. The rise in foreign competition and the attractiveness of many international markets has provided valuable opportunities for the expansion of many U.S. firms into distant marketplaces. Further, the increase in new technologies has also created new methods of implementing effective marketing programs that have introduced new methods of competition and great business opportunities.

"The quantitative courses at Pace have given me a solid foundation in the marketing program and my academic career. The courses introduce students to important skills and powerful tools. One can imagine how surprised I was when these very same concepts and tools were mentioned during job interviews. The marketing courses took me beyond textbook theories by offering a real-world perspective. While interacting with various professionals, I realized that the skills I acquired are practiced at some of the most successful firms."
