Career Opportunities The Bureau of Labor Statistics has projected a 22% increase in employment growth in accounting by 2018. The scope of services provided by certified public accountants (CPAs) and other professional accountants is constantly broadening as business activities expand and become more complex. Therefore, the need for well-qualified accounting students with a heightened level of professionalism has never been stronger. The Big Four accounting firms all actively recruit our students for both internships and full time positions. The success of the program is measured by the success of our alumni. Several of our alumni have undertaken significant leadership roles as partners in Big Four accounting firms. Our graduates are also successfully employed by smaller accounting firms, government agencies, and private corporations in the tri-state region. In the financial sector, careers are available in the finance departments of industrial and service corporations, or more specifically in their M&A, treasury, cash management, or corporate development and strategic planning departments. Career possibilities also include firms that specialize in providing financial services, such as financial institutions, brokerages, insurance companies, among many others, and also in government institutions and in not-for-profit organizations. The success of our program is measured by the success of our alumni. Many of our alumni have assumed the role of chief financial officer and other significant leadership positions at major financial firms. Corporate Internship Opportunities Pace's Cooperative Education Program is the largest university internship program in the New York metropolitan area. Pace accounting majors intern at firms such as Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PWC, and Grant Thornton. Corporations such as Pepsi, JPMorgan Chase, and IBM also provide excellent co-op experiences for our accounting majors. For Pace finance majors, interships are available at Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, UBS, and other financial firms. By and large, student interns are able to leverage their internship experiences into full-time positions. Career and Industry Links
