Bob Seltzer making a point during the Q&A.

Brands exist in the mind...as marketers, we have to make sure those perceptions are the ones that favor sales.

[Advertising PR panel]   The new 80/20 rule...20% of customers who care enough about a brand to shape it, will require 80% of your attention ....Consumers own brands...we have to let go. Three new realities: 1) transparency trumps trust, 2) experimentation trumps the expected, 3) co-creation trumps control.

- Bob Seltzer, Leader, Marketing Practice, Ruder Finn
The best brands in the world have an emotional connection to their consumer ....We believe our company is in charge of our brand, but there is a partnership with our consumer...she speaks to us all the time...we listen and we adapt.

- Susan Sokol, President, Vera Wang
