Inaugural Golf Outing Raises Funds for Lubin
Campaign
from Summer '99 Lubin Business

Sunny skies and mild
temperatures made May 17 the perfect day for the first annual Lubin Campaign Golf Outing, which took place at the
Wheatley Hills Country Club in East Williston, New York. James Anziano '77, partner at Pustorino, Puglisi &
Company, chaired the Golf Outing initiative, along with Perry C. Vascellaro '51 and Edward F. Murphy '74. Although
none of the more than seventy golfers in attendance made a hole-in-one, prizes were awarded for a variety of
contests held throughout the day. Winners included Doug Hendrickson, who won a one-year membership to the Chemists'
Club for the "Straightest Drive"; Cliff Ryerson, who won a weekend stay at the Millennium Broadway Hotel for the
"Closest to the Pin"; and James Anziano, who won tickets to a New York Mets game for the "Longest Drive." The
Sodexho Marriott foursome were the 1st Place Low Gross winners with a score of 74, and the Pustorino, Puglisi &
Company foursome won 1st Place Low Net with a score of 70. All eighteen holes were sponsored by a variety of
companies and individuals, including Bankers Trust; Deloitte & Touche; Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts; Pustorino,
Puglisi & Company; Sodexho Marriott Services; KPMG; and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Funds raised by the tournament
will benefit the Lubin School of Business Comprehensive Campaign, enabling Lubin faculty to engage in research and
professional development activities.
