"I am very honored to be accepting this
award from the HVDMA. The Laura L. Smith Scholarship is not just an award for me. It's proof that everything I've worked hard for in the
last 4 years has paid off and gives me confidence that I'm headed in the right direction for the future. Through organizations such as
the IDM lab, I was able to define myself through my abilities and the skills I've attained from working with this organization and look
forward to my career post-graduation."

"As a life-long resident of the Hudson
Valley and a graduating senior pursuing a career in direct marketing, I was beyond honored to receive
the Hudson Valley Direct Marketing Association Laura L. Smith Scholarship Award. The opportunities I've had in the past 2 years as a
direct marketing student and manager of the IDM Lab have been some of the most exciting, enriching, and rewarding experiences. After
working so hard in classes and internships, it was an honor to be recognized by the HVDMA and it has encouraged me to continue to work
towards a career in this field."

"I am very excited about this study abroad
opportunity. I am looking forward to perfecting my fluency in the Japanese language, developing a better understanding of the Japanese
culture, and expanding my horizons...These two scholarships are a great help to me since they relieve my financial burden so that I may
better enjoy my study abroad experience in Japan without worrying/concerning myself too much about the financial aspects of funding my
education."
