The Joseph A. and Mary DiBenedetto Memorial Fund for Service Excellence in Accounting

$2,500 scholarships are awarded to Junior year accounting majors at the Lubin School of Business who have demonstrated outstanding service to the profession of accounting. The award may be used by any eligible student for tuition and/or related costs. The Dean and faculty members in the accounting department make the selection of the award recipients. [Accounting student Diana Kaiami and Dr. Susanne O'Callaghan]   Accounting student Diana Kaiami (left) was awarded the Faculty Service Award at a meeting of Beta Alpha Psi in May 2011. This award is given annually by the Accounting Department to the third or fourth year accounting major who most exemplifies leadership and service to the department, the Lubin School of Business and to the University. Diana is a member of BAP and served as its interim President during the school year 2010-2011. The award was presented to her by Dr. Susanne O'Callaghan, the co-advisor for BAP. The funds for this award are made possible through the Joseph & Mary DiBenedetto fund.

2009 Joseph A. and Mary DiBenedetto Accounting Scholarship Recipients

Michael Cintineo is the president of the Robert S. Pace Accounting Society and an active participant in many Pace events. He has worked on outreach with the large and small accounting firms. He is also helping run the Ernst and Young Accounting Tutoring lab this year. He began Pace as a freshman and is now in the BBA/MBA accounting program.

James Nalbandian is the vice president and secretary of the Robert S. Pace Accounting Society. He is very active in supporting Pace at both university and Lubin events. He enjoys working with potential students to show them the benefits of choosing Pace for their accounting education. James was a transfer student and is now in his final year of the BBA/MBA program.
