[Lubin School]
  September 9, 2009
The Lubin School of Business is proud to announce the launch of a major new initiative in the fall of 2009 - a comprehensive, innovative, and cutting-edge undergraduate Business Honors Program (BHP) benchmarked against the best programs in the country to provide a select group of outstanding BBA and BBA/MBA students with an enhanced, challenging and rewarding academic experience to prepare them for leadership roles in global business.

Curricular enhancements include an expansion from two to four years, four foundational cross-disciplinary learning communities (themed around Understanding Business in the Digital Age, Managing Legal and Ethical Business Challenges, Building and Sustaining Business Relationships, and Planning and Control in Complex Organizations), the formal integration of both International Study and Community-Based Leadership components, and a year-long capstone Honors Thesis Sequence.

In addition the BHP provides advanced seminars, skill-building workshops, leadership retreats, distinguished speakers, opportunities for executive mentoring, personalized faculty advisement, and special recognition at the annual Lubin Awards Ceremony.

The new BHP program is being rolled out first on the New York City campus with close coordination with the university Pforzheimer Honors College and utilizing similar admission and graduation criteria. On the Pleasantville campus the BHP will initially continue as a two year program before transitioning to the new format. The BHP builds on the successful Lubin Leaders and Scholars Program which has 150 students on both campuses and graduated five classes dating back to 2005.
