From shazam competitions to a brunch and a casino night, there are enough fun and engaging events this week for the whole family!

CCAR Partners Meet and Greet
Monday, October 2 | 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | Boudreau Lounge
Come to the Center for Community Action and Research’s Meet and Greet to start getting active in the community! Staff, faculty, and a number of community service organizations will be on hand to give you the lowdown on both community service and internship opportunities at nonprofits.

Women’s Soccer vs. Southern Connecticut State University
Tuesday, October 3 | 7:00 p.m. | Pace Stadium
The Setters will look to dribble, pass, and drive their way to victory against the onerous Owls of Southern Connecticut State University. This game is sure to be a hoot!

Commuter Life
Wednesday, October 4 | 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | Kessel Multi-Purpose Room
Do you have the drive both inside and outside the classroom? Do you also have a parking sticker? Come to Kessel for an event hosted by student development to meet fellow daytrippers, and learn the ins and outs of how to make your commuting experience not just tolerable, but perfectly pleasant(ville).

First Generation Social
Wednesday, October 4 | 12:00 p.m.–1:30 p.m. | Kessel Multi-Purpose Room
First in your fam to go to college? You’re far from alone. According to a 2010 study conducted by the Department of Education, 50 percent of the college population is made up of first generation students. Come and meet fellow first gens, and get information about specific programs designed to support and enhance your college experience.

Jennifer Hall
Thursday, October 5 | 9:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. | Gottesman Room
The Programming Board has put together an excellent fall speaker series, which has included the inspirational speaker K-Love, and will feature Ryan Quinn, T-Murph, and former presidential candidate Gary Johnson. This Thursday it’s Jennifer Hall’s turn, who will be sharing words of wisdom and strategies for present contemplation and future success.

Family Weekend
Friday, October 6 | 12:00 p.m. | Pleasantville Campus
Each year, Family Weekend is a wonderful opportunity for families to visit with their students and celebrate their accomplishments while exploring everything that the Pace Community has to offer. Breakfast with Faculty and Staff

Enjoy a healthy and hearty breakfast with your family and have everyone meet your favorite faculty and staff members—you know, the ones that will rave about you all day and reassure everyone that you are doing juuuuust fine.

Field Hockey vs. Bentley University (Pace Goes Pink)
Saturday, October 7 | 2:00 p.m. | Pleasantville Campus
Pace Field Hockey won their first six games of the season, and have kept up the torrid Pace(!) that has cemented them as an early season national powerhouse. Come cheer on the Setters and support an important cause—the annual Pace Goes Pink game, now in its seventh year, will raise funds for the Breast Institute at Northern Westchester Hospital in honor of breast cancer awareness.

Casino Night
Saturday, October 7 | 8:00 p.m. | Kessel Multi-Purpose Room
Bring your family and friends to enjoy the excitement and the feel of a real casino at Casino Night without the worries of losing your mortgage. Sit down at one of many gaming tables, including blackjack, roulette, and Caribbean poker, or “go all in” at Texas hold 'em. Don’t miss this opportunity to feel like a high roller, or just come and join us for an evening of fun.

Kicks for Kids

Kicks for Kids provides recreational activities, wholesome snacks, and tips for healthy living in an environment that is all-inclusive and welcoming of children of all ability levels. Their five F’s—Free, Family, Friendship, Fitness, and Fun—ensure a fun time is had by all.
