Baby Birds Gets Hatched (NYC)
Fresh work. Freshmen. On May 14, Ryan Scott Oliver and Pace’s Musical Theater Class of 2017 host an evening of songs, all written, performed, and directed by first-year students, at 54 Below.
Ryan Scott Oliver and Pace University’s Musical Theater Class of 2017 are getting ready to unveil their new works at the highly-anticipated cabaret Hatched 2014, with two shows on Wednesday, May 14, at the iconic 54 Below, Broadway’s Supper Club, located at 254 West 54th Street.
A collaboration of new musical works written by Performing Arts students and performed by first-year students, this is sure to be a night of innovative theater that celebrates the work and growth of this MT Class of 2017.
First-year students featured include Kerstin Anderson, Connor Antico, Cody Boehm, Bettina Bresnan, Nia Colemon, Mili Diaz, Jamal Douglas, Tommy Evich, Alphonse Gonzales, Sean Green, Garrison Hall, Kendyl Ito, Joey LaVarco, Laura Laureano, Daria LeGrand, Erica Malachowski, Jonathan Miller, Alexis Molnar, Emily Nies, Alexa Russo, Iris Sharp, Joshua Smith, Gabi Stapula, Alina Stephenson, Linnea Sumner, Davis Wayne, Aidan Wharton, and Daniel Yearwood will showcase their work. Music direction by Matt Aument, directed by Ryan Scott Oliver, with Trey Compton, Keelay Gipson, and Josh Kelly, and made up entirely of fresh new writing by Pace Musical Theater writers.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here for the 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. shows.
From first year to finales! While we hate to see them go, we know that the Musical Theater seniors are going on to great things. Catch their final performance as Pace students when they present their Senior Showcase on Monday, May 12 at Theatre 3 at 311 West 43rd Street in NYC.
