Be the Solution (NYC)

News Story

Join the Pace Community to explore problems and solutions regarding bullying and sexual assault in the 21st century at the Second Annual Bully and Sexual Assault Symposium on Tuesday, April 7.

According to StopBullying.gov, more than one in four students in grades 6–12 in the US experience some form of bullying. On top of that, it’s estimated that one in five women are sexually assaulted during their college years, prompting President Obama to launch the It’s On Us campaign to end sexual assault.

That’s why on Tuesday, April 7, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Bianco Room, the Pace Community will join together for the Second Annual Bullying and Sexual Assault Symposium to explore the problems and hear the solutions. This year’s theme: Perceptions and Realities in 21st Century Society.

Join event organizers Seidenberg Professor James Lawler, DPS, and Dyson Professor Chisholm, PhD, as well as event moderator and AVP and Dean for Students on the New York City Campus Marijo Russell O’Grady, PhD, for a powerful evening of discussions, films, and guest presentations.

Refreshments will be served and seating is on a first-come basis. For more information or to RSVP, contact James Lawler at jlawler@pace.edu.
