Best Practices Makes Perfect (WP)

Want to make an impact on your education? Have thoughts on the shared responsibility of faculty and students? Register to attend Pace’s Fifth Annual Best Practices Conference on February 27 and be part of the conversation.

The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT) and the Pforzheimer Center for Faculty Development are sponsoring the fifth annual Best Practices Conference on Friday, February 27, at the Graduate Center in White Plains. This year’s theme Shared Responsibility: Student-Faculty Engagement will look at the student-faculty relationship and the shared responsibility of faculty and students and ownership of their respective roles. A better understanding of these roles can assist in promoting academic excellence and move the University community toward a more enriched and rewarding academic experience.

Faculty and students will lead interactive workshops, demonstrations, presentations, and panels on topics including:

  • Active teaching/learning methodologies
  • High impact educational practices
  • Project-based and case-based learning
  • Interdisciplinary teaching/learning
  • Scholarly activities in the residence halls
  • Mutual respect and mentoring relationships
  • Creative use of technology in the classroom
  • Learning outcomes that address skills needed for classroom

Lubin Dean Neil Braun will give the keynote address. Transportation to the conference, breakfast, and lunch will be provided.
