Celebrating Pride (NYC)
Next weekend, we’re doing Pace proud. Join the LGBTQA and Social Justice Center for the third annual Lavender Awards and the Stonewall Coalition for the LGBTQA Prom.
Looking for something to do next weekend? We’ve got just the things! It’s time to dress to impress, put on the ritz, and hit the town. First up is a very special senior send-off and award ceremony for members of the Pace Community that support Pace’s LGBTQA efforts. The next night, you’re invited to slow dance with your sweetie.
Third Annual Lavender Awards
Friday, April 24, 6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. | Bianco Room, New York City Campus
The LGBTQA and Social Justice Center's third annual Lavender Awards ceremony recognizes Pace University students, staff, faculty, and alumni who have made lasting contributions to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and ally community. We will present Pace’s LGBTQA graduating seniors with rainbow tassels to wear at Commencement and we will also give out several awards to students, staff, faculty, and alumni who have contributed to Pace’s LGBTQA education, equity, and safety.
Saturday, April 25, 8:00 p.m. –1:00 a.m. | Bianco Room, New York City Campus
Hosted by Pace’s Stonewall Coalition, this is a very special LGBTQA Prom for couples across the rainbow—gay, lesbian, trans*, and straight. Join us as we continue breaking the silence, especially for anyone silenced during their own proms due to the stigma of their sexuality or gender expression.
