It’s International Education Week! From info sessions to game night to a photo exhibit, you’ll get the chance to learn all about your study abroad options on both the PLV and NYC campuses. Ready to change your Pace?

Whether you’re a globe-trotting aficionado or total travel newbie, study abroad is a life-changing experience for all college students. That’s where International Education Week comes in. From Monday, November 13 to Thursday, November 16, all Pace students are invited to learn more about their options in study abroad and to celebrate the work of those who recently returned home. Be there!

Monday, November 13

Language Lunch
11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. | Bianco Room, One Pace Plaza
Learn phrases in a new language while enjoying international cuisine. You’ll also get the chance to win free prizes!

Where did Pace students study abroad? Walk through a wondrous display of images from the 2017 Study Abroad Photo Contest showcasing the different places Setters recently traveled to.

How to Pronounce Chinese Names

Did you enjoy the Language Lunch? Then you should stop by to learn how to pronounce common Chinese names with your fellow worldly Setters!

Spring 2018 Faculty-Led Study Abroad Info Session

Faculty-led programs are some of the most rewarding study abroad experiences, and here, you’ll learn all about the next one slated for the spring semester! Programs include Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Greece, Rome, Scandinavia, Crete, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Oxford.

Middle Eastern Night
6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. | 41 Park Row, 8th Floor
Co-sponsored by SDACA, the Mosaic Series presents its first ethnic night with a cultural celebration of Middle Eastern food, music, and dance.

International Tea and Coffee

It’s time for the weekly international tea and coffee hour! Network, chat, and hang out with a cup of joe.

3:25 p.m.–4:25 p.m. | Kessel Student Center, Multi-Purpose Room
A session for academic departments that features research by the School of Education visiting scholar Xu Xiaoyuan (Mobile Education), benefits to our Pace Community of the International Scholar Program with Assistant Professor of Instruction Technology Tom Lynch, EdD (scholar faculty advisor), and step-by-step instructions for hosting exchange visiting scholars.

Global Game Night with International Buddies
10:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m. | Pace Perk Café
Join your fellow international buds in playing games from around the world, featuring classics such as Mancala, Go, Chinese Checkers, Ludo, and many others!


Wednesday, November 15

Queer Study Abroad Lunch Discussion
12:10 p.m.–1:10 p.m. | LGBTQA Center, Kessel Student Center, Rooms 213–214
Discuss opportunities and concerns for study abroad specific to LGBTQA students. Topics will include traveling while trans, international safety, queer identity around the world, program opportunities, being out abroad (or not!), and others.


Thursday, November 16

Culturefest
5:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. | Kessel Student Center, Setter’s Café
This event is a celebration of different cultures and languages from around the globe, featuring cooking with Kevin as well as various global crafts and activities. You'll also get the chance to walk through a wondrous display of images from the 2017 Study Abroad Photo Contest showcasing the different places Setters recently traveled to.
