The Arts and Entertainment Management Industry Network (AEMIN) host a lecture on technology and innovation in the music industry on April 9 in NYC.
On Wednesday, April 9, from 12:10 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., stop by Lecture Hall North, as The Arts and Entertainment Management Industry Network (AEMIN) presents Content is King: A Lecture on Technology and Innovation in the Music Industry.
Led by music industry executive, Dan Mullins, President of Vis A Vis, the event will also feature a special appearance by the DJ duo The Disco Fries.
Dan Mullins is currently President of Vis A Vis in Brooklyn, a management company dedicated to serving pop, indie, and EDM brands. His professional expertise includes talent management, entertainment industry business affairs, marketing, branding, and intellectual property. Mullins manages and represents Grammy-nominated artist Anthony "The Twilite Tone" Khan, The Disco Fries, MANIK, and a host of other personalities. Companies that he has worked for include ObliqSound, Statra Recordings, and GlobalData Publications. Mullins works at the intersection of business, commerce, and pop culture. With a pulse on developments in intellectual property and consumer trends in media consumption, he has become a sought-after figure in the entertainment industry and continues to work and collaborate with executives, publishers, and promoters.
The Disco Fries are Nick Ditri and Danny Boselovic, a production and OJ duo from the United States. In 2013, The Disco Fries performed more than 80 shows from coast to coast and across the globe while actively producing and releasing music on labels such as Ultra Music, Jive Records, Cr2 Records, and Vicious Recordings. Notable gigs have included playing alongside Tiesto at Hakkasan in Las Vegas, leona Pop and Krewella in New York City for WKTU KTUphoria, and Tommie Sunshine at the Amsterdam Dance Event in The Netherlands. The duo also completed bi-annual tours in Canada, Australia, Indonesia, and Asia with a string of dates throughout mainland China. In celebration of Tiesto receiving the OJ Mag & KLM OJ LegendAward, he released “iTrance,” a free download featuring The Disco Fries. In addition, the group added to their extensive remix resume by having three #1 Billboard hits with their remixes of Neon Hitch, Foxes, and Donna Summer.
