Do Good, Feel Great

News Story

Whether you’re interested in knitting hats for children with cancer, sprucing up an NYC school, or being a lunch buddy to someone in need, Pace has your opportunities to do good and feel great.

Knitting for a Cause (NYC)
Fridays, September 19; October 3, 17, and 31; November 14 and 21; December 5 and 12 | 12:30 p.m.–2:00 p.m. | 41 Park Row, 9th Floor Reception Area
All you knit is love. Join novice and seasoned knitters at the Office of Multicultural Affairs’ Knitting for a Cause Fridays, where you’ll help knit 400 hats/blankets to benefit pediatric cancer patients of New York Presbyterian—Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital for the upcoming holiday season. In 2013, the goal was 200 hats, but 400 were made. Can you help OMA exceed their goal again? E-mail Denise Santiago, PhD, at dsantiago@pace.edu for more info. But trust us when we say, you’re going to be hooked. Womp womp.

Paint a School Day (NYC and PLV)

It’s time to put away the Candy Crush and pick up a paintbrush! On October 18, the Center for Community Action and Research (CCAR) wants you to join them in brightening up schools and children’s lives at the annual Paint a School Day, NYC’s largest hands-on volunteer day. Students will paint murals, organize classrooms, and clean up gardens to beautify a New York City school. E-mail ccarny@pace.edu for NYC and ccarplv@pace.edu for PLV to learn more or register.
