VOX Arts and Literary Journal invites you to free your mind with multiple readings this semester and also your voice at an upcoming creative writing workshop with author Sheba Karim on October 14.

From abstract impressionism to iambic pentameter, the Westchester Campus’ VOX Arts and Literary Journal has something for every Pace artist looking to express themselves creatively. This semester, VOX invites you to hear and be heard at the following events:

Reading and Creative Writing Workshop with Sheba Karim
Wednesday, October 14 │ 12:00 p.m.–1:30 p.m. │ Location TBD
Join young adult fiction author Sheba Karim for a short reading followed by a creative writing workshop. Karim’s young adult novel, Skunk Girl, was published in 2009 and her next young adult novel is forthcoming in 2017. Her fiction has appeared in 580 Split, Asia Literary Review, Barn Owl Review, EGO, Femina, Kartika Review, Shenandoah, South Asian Review, Time Out Delhi, and in several anthologies in the United States and India. She is the editor of the anthology Alchemy: The Tranquebar Book of Erotic Stories 2. Two of her stories have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She is a graduate of New York University School of Law and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. She was a 2009–2010 Fulbright-Nehru Scholar based in New Delhi, India.

VOX Arts and Literary Journal welcomes you to a fantastic end-of-semester event. Join us for lunch, literary readings, prize announcements, and copies of the latest issue of VOX Arts and Literary Journal. This semester’s launch will feature poet and Lambda Literary Award winner Ana Božičević, author of Stars of the Night Commute and Rise in the Fall.

VOX Arts and Literary Journal exists for the purpose of publishing the original fiction, poetry, prose, artwork, and photography of the students, faculty, and alumni on Pace University’s Westchester Campus. In Latin, “vox” means voice. VOX Arts and Literary Journal serves to be an outlet for Pace students and faculty in which their voices can not only be heard, but shared and appreciated on the Westchester Campus.
