Get Ready to Relay (PLV)
It’s almost time to stop cancer in its tracks while taking a lap around our own. But before we Relay For Life on Friday, April 24, here are a few upcoming dates you’ll need to know.
Pace’s Colleges Against Cancer has officially kicked off Relay For Life, happening in PLV on April 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. in the Goldstein Fitness Center. This year, the American Cancer Society’s signature event will be Hollywood red carpet themed and will feature a battle between the Relay teams and Greek Relay teams like we’ve never seen before! It’s a battle in fundraising, in creativity, and in team work! The stakes have never been higher—we're fighting cancer!
While the Relay is just a few days away, Pace’s Colleges Against Cancer wants you to know about these important upcoming dates and events:
Team Captain Meeting
Monday, April 20 | 9:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. | Miller Hall 27
This is a mandatory event for all Relay Team captains. During these meetings, we go over necessary info you need to know in preparation for Relay For Life.
Monday, April 20 | 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. | Kessel Student Center, Multipurpose Room
This is one of the fundraisers we do for Relay every year. Students, staff, faculty, etc. have the opportunity to come and bid on auction items donated to and/or purchased by Colleges Against Cancer. All proceeds go to Relay For Life. Some of the biggest items being auctioned off as of now include a Fit Bit Bracelet, an Xbox One, a JBL speaker, and more!

Find out which team—Greek Life teams or non-Greek Life teams—has raised the most money on campus. Bragging rights and recognition up for grabs.
Survivor Dinner and Relay For Life
Friday, April 24 | 4:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m. | Goldstein Health, Fitness, and Recreation Center
Relay For Life is a nationwide event that raises money for the American Cancer Society. Every year, the Pace Community comes together with Colleges Against Cancer for 12 hours to celebrate survivors and caretakers, remember the ones we've lost, and pledge to fight back against this disease. Live entertainment, food, games, and activities are just some of the things that you will find at Relay for Life.
So far, more than 300 participants and 40 teams have registered for this powerful and fun event, and nearly $19,000 of Pace’s Colleges Against Cancer’s $100,000 goal has been raised. So if you haven’t signed up to fight for life, time is running out.
