Getting Down to Business (NYC)

News Story

The Entrepreneurship Lab is excited to announce their fall 2015 networking event—where you could meet, greet, and ideate with like-minded Setters. Don’t miss a chance to start your future today!

The fall 2015 Entrepreneurship Lab (eLab) kicks off the 2015–2016 academic year with the Entrepreneurship Networking event on Thursday, September 24 from 5:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m. in the Bianco Room on the NYC Campus. Talk entrepreneurship with your fellow students and hear from featured guest speaker Jonathan Cedar, CEO and co-founder of energy technology firm BioLite, famous for producing wood-burning stoves that also function as chargers for portable electronic devices. A charge and a cheeseburger! In 2011, Businessweek named Cedar one of America's top social entrepreneurs, and BioLite was awarded the 2011 St. Andrews Prize for the Environment. Food and drinks will be served. Register here.

Also at the eLab—through a generous grant by Pace alumnus Michael Dezer, BBA '68, the eLab is hiring six paid fellows for the fall 2015 and spring 2015 semesters. Students who are awarded the fellowship will acquire valuable experience working directly with Israeli startup companies, and gain unique exposure to startup leadership and strategic initiatives. To apply for the Dezer Grant, e-mail your resume to entrepreneurship@pace.edu or learn more about the program here.
