Happy Birthday, Homer (NYC)
Pace’s founder is turning 136 on April 13. Join us at a birthday bash to celebrate with games, giveaways, food, and entertainment, and help raise money for charity: water.
The Pace story began in 1906 when Homer St. Clair Pace borrowed $600 and, with his brother Charles Ashford Pace, rented classrooms in the old New York Tribune building and founded Pace to prepare men and women for the New York CPA exam. Today, 109 years and 100+ majors later, Pace University is preparing students for success in a variety of professions, from accounting to nursing to performing arts and much more.
On April 13, ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting) teams up with SGA, Christian Fellowship, IMA, and Be the Change to celebrate Homer Pace’s 136th birthday with a party and fundraiser from 12:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m. in the Bianco Room on the NYC Campus.
Enjoy food, music, games (“Homer” says is happening!), giveaways, and more all for a good cause as we raise money for charity: water, a nonprofit organization that brings clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. The event will have a minimum donation of $1, which can also be made on the campaign page.
Join the Pace Community in celebrating Homer and raising money for the 748 million people in the world living without access to clean water.
