12:15 p.m.–1:15 p.m.
Student Union, Meeting Room A
In the podcast, Guerrero shares the challenges she faced as a first-generation American and how she has been impacted by and dealt with the deportation of her parents when she was 14 years old. Just last year Guerrero released In the Country We Love: My Family Divided, a memoir about those experiences.
The Listen Lounge will be followed by a student discussion on the episode and these topics. WNYC Listen Lounges are student-led podcast listening parties that provide a jumping off point for poignant and challenging discussions about issues facing students today. Guerrero will not be in attendance.
Pizza will be provided. All attendees will have a chance to win a pair of tickets to Governors Ball!
