Now Showing at the Schimmel (NYC)
From mesmerizing performance art, to silent films, to a double dose of Bacon, Pace’s Schimmel Center is featuring a diverse and talented lineup for the 2015–2016 school year!
Curtain's up on the 2015–2016 Schimmel Center season!
On Saturday and Sunday, September 19–20, the New York Theatre Ballet in conjunction with the SHS Foundation will kick off the semester with a dance series that pairs classic revivals with modern styles from a curated mix of established and rising choreographers. One week later, Haitian born dancer and choreographer Gaspard Louis teams up with the Haiti Cultural Exchange to present the trilogy “L’Esprit”, “Souke”, and “Annatations”, his response to the 2010 Haiti earthquake and its aftermath.
And that’s just the beginning! Amongst the year’s future highlights include a Grease sing-a-long, a night of cabaret with Saturday Night Live veteran Ana Gasteyer, America's Got Talent fan favorite Sons of Serendip, a lecture featuring the work of innovative painter Mary Cassatt (among others), and a winter-time performance from none other than the Bacon brothers—the alternative rock duo comprised of world-famous actor Kevin and his brother Michael, who is a highly successful composer for film and television.
All Pace students have access to every single exciting happening at the Schimmel, at a massive discount of only $10 per show. For more, visit http://schimmel.pace.edu or check back here each week for additional info on Schimmel events.
