Pace Goes Paranormal (PLV)

News Story

Ever wonder what happens when you sleep? Think twice before answering that, but not before checking Pace Programming Board’s Paranormal Activity Week.

If there’s something strange in the neighborhood, who ya gonna call? Programming Board!

Halloween is right around the corner, so what better way to pre-game than with some paranormal…activity? SGA’s Pace Programming Board hosts Paranormal Activity Week (PAW. Coincidence? We don’t think so), with all installments of the supernatural horror films on October 20–23 in Woodward Hall.

Monday, October 20

Paranormal Activity

9:00 p.m.

Tuesday, October 21

Wednesday, October 22

And that’s not all Programming Board has on their spooky schedule. Their weekly Common Hour Chaos and Happy Hour events are putting on some costumes for the week with Halloween-inspired themes. A special Common Hour Chaos on Wednesday, October 29, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. will give students the opportunity to bury their fears inside tiny coffins. Happy Hour on Thursday, October 30, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. will break from the scary for a few hours and feature a capella group, Ball in the House, who take their smooth sounds around the country for about 250 shows per year, and have performed with artists like the Beach Boys, Gladys Knight, Jessica Simpson, and Smokey Robinson.

Things get real…scary again on Friday, October 31, with a trip to Blood Manor, New York City's premier haunted house attraction with 5,000 square feet of themed rooms, corridors, and a labyrinth of passageways designed to maximize one's fears. From the crypt to a maggot invasion to Hannibal’s hell, Blood Manor has several new “attractions” in addition to their usual boo-accoutrements of butchers, murderers, werewolves, ghouls, and goblins. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased here.
