Paint a Cancer-Free World (PLV)
On April 29, one dollar will help save lives as Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) invites you to join them in throwing paint balloons to create a mural for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
On average, St. Jude Children’s Hospital has more than 67,000 patient visits each year, and treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened in 1962.
It costs $2 million per day to operate St. Jude, but thanks to public contributions, families will never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, and food—because of the hospital’s commitment to ensuring that all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
On Wednesday, April 29, will you donate $1 to help St. Jude save children’s lives? Join Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) from 12:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m. at the Kessel Bookstore Patio in PLV, as they throw paint balloons to create a mural that will say Pace Loves St. Jude.
Balloons cost $1 and proceeds will go to St. Jude.
