If you want to help make NYC even more pretty, join CCAR at New York Cares Day on April 12.
The Center for Community Action and Research invites you to join them in planting, mulching, composting, painting, and more at New York Cares Day Spring 2014!
On Saturday, April 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., CCAR will be working together with New York Cares to improve our city. Roll up your sleeves and join more than 4,000 volunteers to clean up parks, community gardens, and public spaces throughout the city. Lunch and transportation will be provided.

Also coming up: White Privilege: Historical Perspectives, 21st Century Manifestations on Tuesday, April 8, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Lecture Hall North in NYC. Mention the words “White Privilege” and contested debates will emerge.
