Rebuilding the FDNY (NYC)

News Story

Pace hosts a discussion about rebuilding the FDNY after 9/11, featuring former Fire Commissioner Salvatore Cassano and Chief of Department Edward Kliduff, on October 7 in NYC.

Thirteen years ago, the Pace Community felt the profound effects of 9/11 right in our own backyard. The University lost 47 members of its community that day, including students and alumni, and was closed for several weeks in an effort to recover and rebuild.

On Tuesday, October 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in 163 William Street, 18th Floor, on the NYC Campus, Government and Community Relations invites you to Rebuilding the FDNY after 9/11, a conversation with former Fire Commissioner Salvatore Cassano and Chief of Department Edward Kilduff, two men who led the Fire Department of the City of New York through key years of rebuilding after its own tremendous loss of 343 members of its community on 9/11.

The discussion is sponsored by the 9/11 Tribute Center and Pace University’s NYC Student Veterans of America, and will cover institutional traditions, external support, and the overwhelming support from around the world that enabled the FDNY to move forward.

Please RSVP to Caitlin Grand at communityrelations@pace.edu by October 6.
