Ringing in the Lunar New Year
3, 2, 1. Happy New Year! Celebrate the Lunar New Year Pace-style with Chinese opera, dancing, dumplings, hip hop, food, giveaways, and more on February 2 in NYC!
Spend your Sunday celebrating Chinese culture as the Confucius Institute, Pace University Chinese Students and Scholars Association (Pace CSSA), and the New York Chinese Opera Society (NYCOS) host the 4th Annual Chinese Lunar New Year Gala on February 2 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Schimmel Theater on the NYC Campus.
Out with the old and in with the new beginnings as the community celebrates the mark of the Year of the Horse, which brings a new energy of rebirth and growth. And CI, CSSA, and NYCOS are definitely not horsing around with their day of events, which includes food and cultural demonstrations, performances including a lion dance, Chinese hip hop, martial arts, crosstalk comedy, a special performance by the United Nations Singers, raffles, and more.
The event is free and open to the Pace Community.
