Senior Advice: Nicole Klang
"Make network connections and lifelong friends." That just about sums it up! Communication Studies major Nicole Klang shares her advice with the next generation of Setters.
Interning at Sony Music Entertainment and Epic Records. Planning fun on-campus events as part of P.A.C.E. Board. Making memories and futures. Graduating senior Nicole Klang '17 got it right.
What’s something you wish someone had told you about your first week at Pace: Network network network. It's never too early to start meeting industry people.
Favorite professor: Satish Kolluri. He's a very well-educated man who will open your eyes to so many different perspectives. He really gets you thinking.
Most interesting class: I took a class called Magic and the Spirit World. It was truly eye opening to different religions and how spirituality is seen in different cultures. We got to make mini documentaries and my group interviewed different people to get their take on magic, spirits, afterlife, apparitions. It was interesting to say the least.
Something you wish you had spent more time doing: Taking the time to appreciate college life. It flies by and now that I'm doing all this reflecting, I wish I didn't rush for everything to be over.
Resource/office that helped you the most: Pace's Counseling Center
Favorite spot on campus: Student Union and the Courtyard—there are always events going on there.
Best club, org, or activity for incoming students: P.A.C.E. Board! It's an awesome way to get involved with planning the awesome events on campus.
Best way to prep for finals: Take study breaks, don't pull all-nighters, study a little bit each day leading up to the tests.
What piece of advice do you wish someone had given you to help prepare you for your senior year of college: I wish someone had told me "don't rush it, work harder than ever before, have fun, and spend as much time with friends as possible."
Advice for the Class of 2021: Enjoy the free time while you have it and use these next four years to make network connections and lifelong friends. Study hard!
