Setter Faithful Unite!
As the 2017 fall sports season gets underway, here’s where you can show your support for Pace Athletics.
As Pace football, men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey, women’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s cross country look to get their seasons off on the right foot, here’s where you can catch them!
Football vs. Millersville
Saturday, September 2 | 6:00 p.m. | Pace Stadium
Football season celebrates its 50th anniversary with a kickoff under the lights as the Setters take on the Millersville Marauders. The first 500 Setter fans to arrive at Pace Stadium will receive a special edition Setter t-shirt.
Men’s and Women’s Cross Country at the Fordham Fiasco
Saturday, September 9 | 9:30 a.m. | Van Cortlandt Park
Head down to the Bronx’s vibrant Van Cortlandt Park for a morning of healthy competition at the 37th Annual Fordham Fiasco/Ed Joyce Memorial XC Meet, where Pace’s men’s and women’s squads will face off against a number of teams from the region in what should prove to be a sizeable early season test. The event gets underway with the women’s 5K at 9:30 a.m., followed by the men’s five mile run at 10:00 a.m.
Women’s Soccer vs. St. Anselm College
Saturday, September 9 | 2:00 p.m. | Pace Stadium
While you’re setting your goals for the semester, the Setter soccer team is busy scoring them. Come watch the women’s squad hook the Hawks of St. Anselm College—attendees will also receive a free schedule poster and magnets, courtesy of Pace Athletics. Whether you want to hang up a report card or a printout of a funny tweet, a solid magnet can always come in handy.
Women’s Field Hockey vs. Assumption College
Saturday, September 9 | 4:00 p.m. | Peter X. Finnerty Field
Don’t make the assumption that the field hockey team doesn’t need your support—in fact, all hands on deck will help stifle those pesky Greyhounds from Assumption College, as the Setters will look to build momentum before heading into official NE-10 conference play.
