Stories Come to Life (PLV)

News Story

Mortola. More like Mortal-a? The Library is giving you the opportunity to check out a living book as it hosts the Human Library on April 16.

Wanna take out an NYC police officer for a chat? Or how about a refugee of war or a Catholic nun? On April 16, check out people instead of books as Mortola Library hosts the Human Library from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Library Lobby.

Explore the unique stories and experiences that define students, faculty, and staff at Pace, challenge your perspectives by meeting the explorers, the pioneers, the courageous, and the resilient of the Pace Community.

Borrow a human “book” from the Pace Community for 30 minutes of unscripted, meaningful, and challenging conversation.

The Human Library began in Denmark in 2000 and has grown into an internationally-recognized event, challenging stereotypes and prejudices, and promoting understanding and encouraging dialogue. For more information, visit http://humanlibrary.org.
