Sustainability Starts with You (NYC)

News Story

Interested in helping make Pace more sustainable, from water bottles to bus routes? The Environmental Consortium of Colleges and Universities will host its 10th Annual Student Summit on Friday, April 17, for students to learn how they can make a difference.

If you’re passionate about sustainable living and looking to make a difference at Pace, mark your calendar for April 17 and join other students in the Bianco Room on the NYC Campus from 11:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. at the Environmental Consortium of Colleges and Universities’ 10th Annual Student Summit “Reinventing Your Campus: Sustainability Starts With You.”

After a keynote address from Daniel W. Bena, the head of Sustainable Development and Operations Outreach for PepsiCo, students will choose from various breakout discussions that tackle topics like sourcing local food, bike shares, hydration stations and how to ban bottled water on campus, and how to effectively communicate messages and affect campus cultural change.

Lunch will be provided and limited reimbursement for mass transit costs exceeding $30 is available to students who apply ahead of time through the Consortium Office’s application.
