Unlocking the Puzzle of the Brain
On March 7, join Pace's Center for Literacy Enrichment for a symposium on the science and genetics behind teaching a child to read and the difficulties they may face with language and communication.
The Center for Literacy Enrichment will be sponsoring a symposium March 7 on “Unlocking the Puzzle of the Brain and Reading.” Presenters will include Joanna A. Christodoulou, EdD, and Tracy M. Centanni, PhD.
Christodoulou is an assistant professor at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. Centanni is a postdoctoral researcher at the MGH Institute of Health Professions and at the McGovern Institute for Brain Research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge.
They will discuss the science and genetics behind what happens in the brain when a child learns and reads, as well as children’s difficulties with learning, language, and communication.
The symposium will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Pace Graduate Center, One Martine Avenue, in White Plains, and is free to the Pace Community. To register, click here and enter the promo code "PACECLEFREE."
