This semester, celebrate all things literary with the VOX Creative Art Series, featuring poetry readings, a play, a bookmaking workshop, a party, and more.
Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, the Department of English and Modern Languages, VOX Arts and Literary Magazine, and the International English Honor Society Sigma Tau Delta present a semester’s worth of events focused on the written word. From homemade books to poetry readings and more, the VOX Creative Art Series has something for everyone.
Handmade/Homemade Exhibit, Bookmaking Workshop, and Reading
Exhibit: Month of March at Mortola Library
Bookmaking Workshop: March 11, 1:50 p.m.–3:15 p.m., Butcher Suite
Reading by Lee Gough: March 11, 3:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m., Butcher Suite
This mini-exhibition includes handmade, homemade, and letterpress chapbooks; one-of-a-kind editions; and broadsides. Exhibitors include Megan Burns, Jody Gladding, Lee Gough, Caren Hegna, Janice Lee, Zarmina Rafi, Linda Ryan, Robbin Ami Silverberg, and Kate Van Houten. Poet and multi-disciplinary visual artist Lee Gough will read from her new work and provides a bookmaking workshop. She is the author of Mary and Shelley’s Fair Copy Book, a chapbook Future Occupations, as well as many informal artist books.
Poet Anne Shaw

Poet Anne Shaw will read from her new book Dido in Winter. The reading will be followed by a discussion with the audience about her work. Shaw is the author of two poetry collections: Dido in Winter and Undertow, winner of the Lexi Rudnitsky Poetry Prize. Her poems and reviews have appeared in journals including Harvard Review, Black Warrior Review, Denver Quarterly, The Los Angeles Review, The Kenyon Review, and New American Writing. She currently lives in Chicago, where she studies sculpture at the School of the Art Institute. Her work can be found online at www.anneshaw.org.

Pace students attend Purchase Performing Arts Center's production of Federico Garcia-Lorca’s Blood Wedding. Lorca's gorgeous, poetic tragedy explores the mystery of love and questions the social rules of civilized life. VOX Arts and Literary Magazine Launch Event and English Department Celebration of Writing

VOX Arts and Literary Magazine hosts a fantastic end-of-semester event. Join us for lunch, literary readings, prize announcements, copies of the latest issue of VOX Arts and Literary Magazine and the English Department's Celebration of Writing. This semester’s launch will feature student writers from the last two issues. Pace alumna Amanda Cerreto will read from her young adult novel, Fall from Grace. This event is co-sponsored with Sigma Tau Delta and the Department of English and Modern Languages.
All events are free and open to the public.
