PLEASANTVILLE, NY, November 5, 2008 – Human sex trafficking, a form of modern-day slavery in which people are oppressed and sold in the commercial sex industry, is an international issue, with 27 million people worldwide enslaved, more than at the height of the transatlantic slave trade.

The Salvation Army helps transition survivors of human trafficking back into society with dignity.

The event is sponsored by a Pace undergraduate civic engagement class.

Time: 12:30 PM

Location: Pace University, 861 Bedford Rd., Pleasantville, NY, Jeanette and Morris Kessel Campus Center, Butcher Suite, entrance 3 off Bedford Rd.
