The Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts

Pace’s 672-seat Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts Theatre located at 3 Spruce Street in One Pace Plaza, has become an epicenter in Lower Manhattan for culturally and artistically enriching experiences—attracting acclaimed artists from all over the world. Its new performing arts season, Pace Presents, has attracted more than 20 world-class performers to Lower Manhattan.

The Schimmel has also been home to several productions from world-renowned theatre companies including London’s Shakespeare’s Globe’s productions of Love’s Labour’s Lost and The Merry Wives of Windsor, Theatre for a New Audience’s Merchant of Venice starring Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham, and multiple operas from The New York Chinese Opera Society. It is also the home of the Bravo TV program Inside the Actors Studio with host James Lipton; guests this year have included Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and the cast of Glee.
