Curriculum Policies & Procedures
As described in the NYFC Constitution, duties and membership of the curriculum policies and procedures committee consist of the following:

a. The Committee on Curriculum Policies and Procedures is composed of the following: i. Up to 10 at-large voting members of the NYFC; ii. One voting member for each academic department, either the Department Chair or a department representative; iii. Three student representatives; iv. Ex officio voting members include the Second Vice-Chair of NYFC and New York Campus Directors of Academic Programs, e.g., Honors and Women’s Studies; v. Non-voting ex officio members are the Academic Deans, or their chosen representatives, Director of Libraries, Registrar, Director of Admissions, Director of Special Programs. b. In general, it is the function of the Committee to offer recommendations to the NYFC with reference to improving and updating the academic programs on the campus and to maintain an ongoing relationship with the JFC with regard to curricular issues. The Committee bears a special obligation to periodically review, and if necessary, initiate changes in the Core Curriculum. The goal of the Committee is to assist the various divisions of the University in the development of high quality programs that will prepare students in a manner consistent with the stated objectives of Pace University. c. Specific Functions i. To make policy recommendations to the NYFC on matters found in ii-vi. ii. Reviews and approves departmental initiatives in developing new degree granting programs; iii. Reviews and approves any changes in course offerings which cause significant change in the requirements of an existing program; iv. Reviews and approves new curricula within existing degree granting programs; v. Reviews and approves deletions of major and minor programs; vi. Periodically reviews the core curriculum with particular attention to changes in course offerings that might impact on the core. |
