Dean for Students Office Staff Announcement
The Dean for Student Office in Pleasantville is pleased to announce the following new staff members to our team:
Cornell Craig, Director for Multicultural Affairs and Diversity Programs, comes to us most recently from Bellarmine Univesity in Lousville, Kentucky where he served as Director for Minority Student Programs and International Student Counselor. Before working in student affairs, Cornell worked in international and minority enrollment services at Bellarmine. Cornell has a Masters in Business Administration. In 2008, Cornell was inducted into the Southern Illinois University Hall of Fame where he played football. Cornell is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Matthew Lavery joins us from Eastern Kentucky University and will be serving as the Associate Director for Residential Life and Housing. Matt has over seven years of experience working in housing at Oklahoma State University and Stonehill College in Easton, MA. Matt received his Masters in Educational Administration. Matt is happy to be back on the east coast and to be back near his family. Matt played Rugby in College and is looking forward to attending Pace athletic events.
Vidal Lopez, our new Associate Director for Student Development and Campus Activities, has been working in student affairs for nine years and most recently served as Assistant Director for Housing SUNY New Paltz. Before finding his passion in student affairs work, Vidal worked in the field of Social Work and had an exciting career performing on television, in movies and on Broadway. Vidal has a Masters degree in Humanistic Multicultural Education and is certified in conflict mediation.
Elizabeth Warner, Assistant Director for Student Development and Campus Activities and Director for Greek Life, just graduated with her Masters in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs from Vanderbilt University. While completing her degree, she worked in the Office of Greek Life. Elizabeth is a member of Chi Omega Sorority.
Thanks to all who came by this past Thursday, September 10 to wish John Agnelli good wishes as he progresses in his career and starts his new position as Dean for Campus Life at New York Institute of Technology.
Vidal Lopez will be serving as Interim Director for Student Development and Campus Activities. A national search will take place this fall to replace John.
