Tobias Bisharat Named Director of Construction and Facilities Planning


Please join us in welcoming Tobias Bisharat as the Director of Construction and Facilities Planning. Tobias joined the University on May 12th.  Tobias will be responsible for University-wide facility and space planning, construction and renovation projects, and budget preparation and tracking of these projects.  He will be the project lead for coordinating and tracking the Master Plan studies that are currently underway for both the New York City and the Westchester campuses. Tobias will align the activities of the Energy Management, Interior Design and Construction Departments with the University’s new strategic plan.

Tobias has extensive experience in project management, real estate, facilities planning and architectural design. For over fifteen years he has designed, planned and managed numerous construction projects for Medco Health Solutions, Inc and Par Pharmaceutical. He has managed over one million square feet of facilities space and led landlord negotiations for leased space. He has been responsible for projects budgets worth over $80 million dollars.

Tobias earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt University and his Bachelor of English from Vassar College. He owned an architectural practice before joining the corporate world. Currently, Tobias resides in Westchester with his wife and has three children.
