Project Pericles at Pace Speakers, Events and Activities

Through collaborations with students, community leaders, faculty, staff, clubs and organizations, Project Pericles at Pace offers challenging civic engagement programming that raises awareness and encourages exploration of current affairs, human rights, the democratic process, global affairs, ethics and the response of marginalized communities through themed programming.  Current themes include:

Democracy in Action Series

The Pace University community explores the notion of democracy and citizenship.  We do this through the exploration of real issues including global warming, nuclear proliferation, and community response to local, national, and international issues.

Political Action for Human Rights Series

The Pace University community calls attention to critical human rights struggles.  Programs on genocide, children’s rights, sweatshop labor, hate crimes and the critical discussion of immigration are just a sample of the issues that have been explored.

Educating for Global Citizenship Series

The Pace University community highlights events, activities and speakers who struggle and celebrate the relationship of humanity through firsthand testimony, books, plays, films and activities.
