Funding Opportunities Newsletters are disbursed approximately weekly to the Grants Announcement List, which includes all those who have received grants in the last few years and all Deans. They are designed to aid the University community in searching for sponsored research and grant program opportunities. The funding opportunities listed are offered by organizations such as:

Agency for International Development, Bureau of Reclamation, Corporation for National & Community Service, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Department of Agriculture, Department of the Army, Department of Commerce, Department of Defense, Department of Education, Department of Energy, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Interior, Department of Justice, Department of Labor, Department of State, Department of Transportation, Environmental Protection Agency, Food and Nutrition Service, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Archives and Records Administration,  National Institute of Health, National Science Foundation, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

While some of the grants listed contain time limits all agencies listed conduct quarterly solicitations, so grant opportunities are continually updated by the agencies. You can also go directly to the agencies website for the latest solicitations. We obtained these by going to the Grants.gov website http://www.grants.gov  and conducting a search of the past seven day’s program announcements, not all of which are included here. We also receive weekly updates from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation List Serve which you may subscribe directly to as we do.  Other possibilities which we encourage you to explore with us include conducting searches of our proprietary grant databases, including SPIN and the Foundation Directory Online, which we are happy to assist you with. In addition we recommend that you visit the New York State Assembly website http://www.assembly.state.ny.us/gan/20050801 for additional information on state and federal grants, foundations and organizations, and grant writing.

If you know of an interested colleague, please let us know and we will be happy to add them to our list. Also, if there are particular areas of research we should be looking for, please inform us. Pace University faculty who wish to discuss grant search opportunities are encouraged to visit our office. Mr. Edward Leight is also available on the Pleasantville campus on Thursdays between 9 am and 11 am by appointment only.

Mr. Leight will also be visiting the Law School Campus on February 9th at 4p.m. and the Pleasantville campus at 6p.m. in Miller Hall (Rm 11) to conduct presentations on obtaining grants and “The A-Z’s of grant proposal writing. Find out where the money is!” All faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to attend. If you are interested please RSVP with either Associate Provost Victor Goldsmith or Edward Leight.
