INFORMATION ASSURANCE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Pace University promotes education, research, and outreach in the field of information security. Faculty members from the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems work together to explore the challenges of securing information in areas ranging from software to networks to ethics.

Pace's Information Assurance Education and Research Center was developed to explore computer vulnerabilities with the objective of improving prevention and detection techniques through research.

Pace's goal is to become one of the leading academic institutions for research in the field of information security. Pace works collectively with local and distant academic institutions through shared curriculum and shared faculty. Pace offers several of its security courses through a distance learning program. Pace provides an environment for education and training in information security and encourages the practice of security throughout the Pace community.

CNSS The Information Assurance Courseware Evaluation (IACE) Review Committee has certified that Pace University courseware maps 100% to the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS ) National Training Standards for Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals, NSTISSI No. 4011 and for System Administrators (SA), CNSSI No. 4013 Entry Level . The IACE Program provides consistency in training and education for the information assurance skills that are critical to our nation. Pace's certification will be valid through June 2012.
