Pace University Law School Transit Strike and Snow Closing Exam Procedures

1) In the event of a transit strike the University will remain open and all exams will proceed as scheduled.

a. If a student appears late for an exam due to the transit strike (within the first 30 minutes of the exam) the student should proceed to the exam room originally scheduled and begin the exam. The student will be given time to make up any missed portion at the end of the exam if necessary.

b. If a student appears late for an exam as a result of the transit strike (after the first 30 minutes of the exam or if the exam has already begun) the student will be sent to a separate testing room to begin the exam. The student must report to the registrar’s office for further instructions as to room location. Students should call the registrar’s office to identify class, professor and scheduled time for exam, reason for the delay in arrival. The student can contact the registrar’s office at 422-4214, 4215. The registrar’s number for general information on the strike is 422-4001.

c. If you cannot make it to the law school due to the transit strike you must contact the registrar’s office and reschedule the exam for the January make-up date. 422-4214, 4215.

2) In the event of snow:

a. Students will be instructed by e-mail, a posting on eminent domain and the registrar’s weather closing line (914) 422-4001 if school is closed and exams are cancelled.

b. If school is open exams will be given as scheduled and anyone not able to make it to the campus due to travel conditions in their area must contact the registrar’s office by either e-mail at nrodriguez@law.pace.edu or by telephone at (914) 422-4214, 4215 by 9:00 a.m. on the day of the exam for a 10:00 a.m. exam and 5:00 p.m. for a 6:00 p.m. exam, identify name, course, and professor. This will provide notice that you are missing the exam. It is your responsibility to follow-up and speak directly to someone in the registrar’s office to make arrangements for a make –up exam on the January make-up date.

c. If the campus is on a delayed opening, exams times will be posted by e-mail, eminent domain and the web.
