Constitution

U.S. Constitution - Annotated 2002 edition, with supplements through 2006.  Also available from the National Archives and Records Administration with images of the original text and educational resources.

U.S. Constitution: Text, Commentaries, Historical Texts and Judicial Decisions - Law Library of Congress guide to the U.S. Constitution, with the text and additional resources.

The Founders' Constitution - Published by the University of Chicago, includes the thoughts, opinions, and arguments of the Founders, along with reproductions of the documents that influenced them.

Statutes

U.S. Code - 2006 version.  Also available in a searchable database at the web site of the Law Revision Counsel, U.S. House of Representatives.

U.S. Code (historical) - Also from the Office of the Law Revision Counsel, this database contains older versions of the Code back to 1988.

Public Library of the Law - New Fastcase service, offers Supreme Court and Court of Appeals decisions, state case law beginning with 1997, statutory and administrative law, and forms.  Contains free and paid content.

Public.Resource.org - Provides state and municipal codes and regulations.

Legislation

Thomas - Current and historical legislative information, including Congressional bill summaries and status, the Congressional Record, presidential nominations, treaties, and research guides.

Public and Private Laws - GPO Access site, contains the text of public and private laws enacted from the 104th Congress(1995-1996) to the present.  Beginning with the 110th Congress (2007-2008), the laws are digitally signed and certified to assure users the online documents are official and authentic.

U.S. Code Table of Popular Names - Part of Cornell's Legal Information Institute U.S. Code collection, this is a list of common names for federal acts.

Legislative Source Book - From the Law Librarians' Society of Washington, DC (LLSDC) site, includes current status table on selected legislation and other resources.

Legislative Source Book: State Legislatures, State Laws, and State Regulations - Also from the LLSDC, contains links to state web sites and telephone numbers.

Legislative Branch Resources - From Thomas, provides links to official and unofficial information.

House of Representatives - Committees, calendars, rules, and other information.

Senate - Committees, calendars, rules, and other information.

United States Serial Set -  Congressional documents and reports, 1817-

State and Municipal Codes

State Codes - Available from Cornell's LII.  Also available from Findlaw.

State Legislature Web Sites - Guide to state legislature web sites, compiled by Linda Lagomarsino, Reference Librarian, Pace Law Library.

Municipal and State Building Codes - Building codes for all 50 states and some cities and counties.

Municipal Codes Online - Links to available searchable county and city codes, from the Seattle Public Library.

Municode - Subscription service with some free content, including the  White Plains Municipal Code.

GeneralCode - Subscription service with some free content, including many municipalities in Westchester.

Public.Resource.org - Provides state and municipal codes and regulations, including public safety and administrative codes.
