Margaret Moreland has been a Reference Librarian longer than anyone else at the Law Library. She joined the full-time staff in 1993, after working part-time for four years. Margaret earned her B.A. at Elmira College, her law degree from St. John’s Law School, where she was a member of the St. John’s Law Review editorial board, and her M.S.L.S. from Long Island University. Before becoming a law librarian, Margaret practiced law at a small firm in New York for several years and did free-lance research, but she missed the academic environment. As a Lawyer/ Librarian for Research Services, she specializes in all aspects of Health Law, supervises Interlibrary Loan services and Friends of the Law Library, and is dedicated to making legal citation understandable for all law students.
