PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT AT PACE UNIVERSTIY

Westchester Campus

Our department is student-centered. We help our students grow as educated individuals and young professionals. In our small classes, you'll find many opportunities for exchanging ideas with professors and for hands-on learning.

Becoming a psychologically educated person means discovering that psychology is, first, a science. Psychologists always try to understand human nature by testing hypotheses about behavior, thoughts, and feelings. At Pace, you'll learn to use the scientific method and become a scientist who thinks critically about human nature.

Psychology is also an applied science. Studying psychology is interesting to most people because everything that we learn scientifically can be used to change and improve lives. As a student in our department, you can be in many courses and practicums (internship settings) where you'll be learning and applying human relations and counseling skill.
