UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS IN PSYCHOLOGY

The study of psychology and human relations has many fascinating branches and practical applications. What could be more intriguing than trying to understand and isolate the factors behind the complexities of human behavior, perception, motivation, and child development?

At Pace University, undergraduate students have opportunities to explore both theoretical and applied psychology and to learn how these fields interface with virtually every profession. Our undergraduate programs in Psychology and Applied Psychology and Human Relations provide a strong foundation for career development. Students who choose these majors often go on to graduate study in psychology, law, business, or social work; many others apply their undergraduate training to careers in marketing, public relations, teaching, and various health and mental health fields.

DEGREE PROGRAMS

The Psychology and Applied Psychology and Human Relations majors involve programs that are distinct, but not mutually exclusive. Students can choose between research-oriented and applied coursework. Both programs offer students opportunities to work closely with faculty to identify and focus on their particular areas of interest.

The Combined Degree program allows students majoring in Psychology a way to be able to obtain a M.A. degree with a general, academic foundation in the field of psychology through a wide variety of required and elective courses at the graduate level. As with the MA in Psychology program, the Combined Program is designed to appeal to a variety of highly motivated individuals who want to explore the field of Psychology further and those who intend to advance their careers by expanding their knowledge about contemporary psychological theories and perspectives.
