EDWIN G. MICHAELIAN INSTITUTE FOR PUBLIC POLICY AND MANAGEMENT
The Edwin G. Michaelian Institute for Public Policy and Management (Institute), and its legal research affiliate, the Municipal Law Resource Center (MLRC), respond to the needs of the public and not-for-profit sectors for governance and management training and development, and for research to support and enhance their operations. The Institute is recognized by New York State as an academic resource for its agencies and local governments within the state.
The Institute and the MLRC perform research studies and sponsor conferences, seminars, and other training opportunities for governments, not-for-profits, businesses, and the general public on major issues concerning public policy, politics, and government operations. The Institute works closely with the University’s MPA Program in placing student interns with governmental and not-for-profit agencies.
The Institute also works closely with the Pace University’s New York City-based Helene & Grant Wilson Center for Social Entrepreneurship. The Wilson Center serves the needs of nonprofit organizations and students with education, research, communication, and advisory services, with the goal of promoting social change through entrepreneurship.
