Pace University M.S. in Publishing Certificate Programs

For students who choose not to pursue the M.S. Publishing degree, the department offers three 12 credit certificate programs. This program is designed for professionals who would like to extend their knowledge of the publishing field by attending in-house sessions or by completing the cirriculum's requirements online. Courses include marketing, distribution methods, editorial principles, magazine circulation and legal aspects of publishing. The program will enhance opportunities for professionals on the job.
NOTE: Students enrolled in the certificate programs may apply earned credits to the Master of Science in Publishing degree; however, students already matriculated in the M.S. Degree may not revert to the Certificate program.
Certificate in Book Publishing
For this certificate students must complete four of the following courses:
PUB 601 Principles of Publishing
PUB 606 Book Production and Design
PUB 608 Financial Aspects of Publishing
PUB 622 Seminar on Books and Magazines
PUB 628 Marketing Principles and Practices in Publishing
Certificate in Digital Publishing
For this certificate students must complete four of the following courses
PUB 612 - Information Systems in Publishing
PUB 620 - Modern Technology in Publishing
PUB 622 - Seminar on Books and Magazines
PUB 633 - Desktop Publishing
PUB 635 - Advanced Desktop Publishing and Image Manipulation / Management
PUB 636 - Electronic Publishing
Certificate in Magazine Publishing
For this certificate students must complete four of the following courses:

PUB 608 Financial Aspects of Publishing
PUB 614 Specialized Publications
PUB 622 Seminar on Books and Magazines

Certificate in the Business Aspects of Publishing
