Lubin MBA Student Featured in Crain's
Dean Van Tassell, MBA '09, was featured in a recent Crain's article about applications to business schools being on the rise despite
the dismal job outlook and the global financial crisis. In the article, Van Tassell opined, "If you're an MBA student and you don't
understand that the economy is cyclical, then you should get your money back or pick another major.” At present, applications are up by 30%
at the Lubin School of Business. Business schools are also now working to counter the image of Wall Street greed by offering courses in
business ethics and corporate responsibility. Joe Baczko, Dean of the Lubin School, said that there is definitely interest among students in
doing good.

Wangari Maathai's Green Belt Movement. When the fall semester commences,
