The Pace Poll

Backed by the resources of Pace University and established in 2003, The Pace Poll is an interdisciplinary center for generating and disseminating reliable survey research on social, political, and economic issues.

Conceived by Pace President David A. Caputo and directed by Christopher Paige, The Pace Poll regularly measures local, regional, and national public opinion on both long-standing and timely topics. Initial polling focused on the rebuilding efforts in Lower Manhattan and social capital among New York City residents. Topics have expanded over time and now include politics and elections, the environment and financial matters, as well the public's perception of the media. In addition, The Pace Poll periodically fields timely surveys on emerging issues.

The goal of The Pace Poll is to help public opinion play a more visible role in the open discussion of current affairs. The survey center contributes to public discourse by publishing accurate and meaningful opinion studies on matters of common concern, using one of the most powerful tools for understanding group behavior (and educating students in its use) while contributing an important component to the democratic process.
