Diversity and Multiculturalism

Pace is home to an incredibly diverse student population – we house a 10% international student population, and traditionally underrepresented groups make up more than 25% of our student body. To keep this community of cultural vibrancy thriving, Pace’s Office of Multicultural Affairs hosts and promotes a number of activities and events each year which encourage students to think globally and act locally.

OMA seeks to examine the intersections of globalization and social injustices and their impact on diversity and multiculturalism. To that end, OMA is committed to sponsoring academic and cocurricular programming that includes symposia, lectures, film series, and more. OMA’s programming is also integrated into UNV 101, a mandatory course for all Pace freshmen.
 
To help bolster the number of underrepresented groups at Pace, OMA also works with faculty to pair up a historically underrepresented student as a mentor.
